Frequently asked questions
Yes, all levels of membership at The Platform receive 24/7 access to gym facilities.
No, the prices we display for our memberships and training are exactly what you will pay. There are no additional fees.
Absolutely! We commonly take older people through our How-to-Train Programme who are getting stronger and fitter with us. Training, whether it be a gym or water aerobics, is all resistance. It all provides a dose of stress. Our job is to make sure a given trainee has an appropriate does of stress to progress towards their goals. That level will be different for different people, whether older or younger.
Of course you can. Most people choose the standard plan, which has no contract length. Just give us 10-days notice and it will be cancelled. If you choose the 12-month plan then the cancelation fee is $150 or 25% of what is left of the plan, we choose whichever number is smaller.
Definitely! Our programme teaches people how to train and how to use a gym. So, if you are new to a gym, we take you through the basic fundamentals and how to apply them. If you are an experienced trainee then we have more in-depth conversations about training and progression.
Yes, we have 6 full cages.
We have all the standard machines you would expect to find in any gym. However, we also have a lot of free weight equipment, including sand bags, kegs, smart treadmills, a climbing rope, the heaviest dumbbell set in Palmy, and a range of different things you can push, pull, and carry.
Yes, you sure can. If you are new to training we would recommend the How-to-Train Programme or to at least run one of our templates first. This way we have some data to use to write a custom programme that will have an appropriate does of stress for you. If you have a programme you have already been running, then we can use the data from that.
